SYMBOLIC AWARDS FOR SIGNIFICANT COMMUNITY MEMBERS

In coming day of New Year and Christmas celebration, the president of Palilula Municipality PhD Igor Novakovic and Milan Djurdjevic, president of Palilula Municipal Assembly, gave presents to the best pupils of seven elementary schools and two special schools from Palilula territory. They all received new mobile phones and books with intention to show the public the fact to that efforts and good results always have positive public attention. After the call of the Municipality and proposition of primary school head masters, the list of the best pupils was made. The action was realized in cooperation with company `Telekom`.

`This all represents symbolic award for all the all efforts these young people have put and with this became important and recognizable members of our society` – said president Novakovic and added that in `Strategy of Development of Palilula Municipality` special attention is paid to children. `In accordance with that we want to emphasize what and who is the best – to make them examples to the others. They promise us better future and on the behalf of the City and Serbia as a country is to use their potentials in the best way and both benefit` - emphasized the president.

Among the best was also Marina Milenkovic, `Desanka Maksimovic`, elementary school. She is very hard working pupil, has participated in many school competitions of Ministry of education, participated on state competition from mathematics, coordinating almost all the manifestations in school and is on the position of the president of Pupils school parliament. `I am very glad that I am today in this kind of group. I am planning to go on with my serious learning during the high school year. I am planning to enroll at Medical High School and I will think later about the details` – said Milenkovic to the press.

President’s gifts – mobile phones, beside Marina Milenkovic, 8 grade, `Desanka Maksimovic` school, got also Anita Golubovic, 7 grade `Kralj Petar Prvi` school, Veljko Jelenkovic, 7 grade, `Kole Rasic` school, Aleksandra Brankovic, 6 grade, `Branko Radicevic` school, Andjela Krstic, 8 grade, `Branko Miljkovic` school, Lazar Stoiljkovic, 8 grade, `Bubanjski Heroji`, Tina Radenkovic, 8 grade, Sreten Mladenovic Mika. Two pupils from special schools: Dimitrije Stankovic, 6 grade, Special school `Bubanj` and Ana Mihajlovic, 6 grade, `14 oktobar` school.

The parents and some of the professors and teachers were also present at this ceremony in Palilula municipal building.
